Earnest Easter Jr

Earnest Easter, Jr. was born on September 10, 1956, in Foreman, AR, to the parents of Earnest and Lessie Mae Easter.  Earnest was preceded in his death by his parents his wife Jewellena Glass Easter, daughter, Ellen Denise Glass, and sisters Johnnie Mae Raines and Olean Vance.  He was granted his angel wings on July 24, 2022, in McKinney, TX.  His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.  Earnest had touched many in some small way throughout his remarkable life.

At an early age, he joined the St Matthews Baptist Church in Foreman.  Where he remained faithful and steadfast in his church.  He served as a Sunday School Teacher, Usher, and Deacon until his health started failing.  Earnest was a full and faithful 3 ^rd – degree Freemason with the Setting Sun no. 88 Lodge, Ashdown, Arkansas.  His God-given warmth for family and friends was contagious.

He graduated from Foreman High School in 1976.  Upon graduation, his first job in the workforce was with Saunders Transportation.  From there, he made a career move into the health career field.  Earnest worked at Memorial Height Nursing Center, Hill Nursing Home, and the Home Health Program.

Later in life, he met and married the love of his life Jewell Glass who preceded him in death.  He became the father of four daughters: Danielle (Derry) Brown, Jennise Woods, LaVerne (James) Roberts.

Three sisters also survived him; Vera (Booker) Hooks, Versie (Greg) Haywood, Patricia (James) White, two brothers Bobby (Gail) Easter, and Earl (Karla) Easter  He had nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  He also had a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Funeral arrangements are set for 2:30 pm in Foreman at the Oscar Hamilton Elementary School with Rev. Curtis Winfrey, Officiating

Interment will follow at St. Luke Cemetery

Viewing will be from 1:30 to 2:30 at the Oscar Hamilton Elementary School 311 W 10th Street Foreman, AR  71836
