Dora Lee Buchanan Perkins was born on July 26, 1939 in Eagletown, OK to Lorayne Everett and Beulah Buchanan.
She married George Washington Perkins on September 21, 1957. She died on January 20, 2017 at her home.
Her husband and family were the loves of her life. She dedicated her life to Jehovah in June of 1962.
Dora leaves to cherish her memory: Children – Tawana Wards and husband, Gregory of Broken Bow, OK; Geroge W. Perkins of Broken Bow, OK; Lorayne Perkins and wife, Neena of Bethel, OK; Renada Fletcher and husband, Randy of Simms, TX. Brothers: Jessie Buchanan, a.k.a. Jessie May and wife, Myra, and Jerrold Buchanan a.k.a. Scraps. Sisters: Margaret Burns, a.k.a. Maggie; Aline Willis, a.k.a. Beanpole not Daddy's good girl; Joy Locky, a.k.a. Misery and husband, Willis; Neva Brunner, a.k.a. Slopjar and husband, Tommy; and Mary Buchanan.
Also surviving her are 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Dora in death were her parents, Lorayne and Beulah Buchanan; sisters, Mary Rich, a.k.a. Tommie, and Wanda Porter, a.k.a. Tootsie; brother, Leonard Buchanan, a.k.a. Buck; and great granddaughter Lisa Simmons.
