Denise Nash Dunham was born March 24th, 1953 in Chicago IL., to Leon and Constance Tolbert Dunham. She passed away at her home Monday October 26, 2015 at the age of 62.
Denise grew up in Chicago IL where she attended DuSable High School. After High school she continued her education at Illinois State University in Normal, IL where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Denise was a proud member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
She was a dedicated Teacher of 35 years focusing in Special Education. Denise taught multiples ages and grade levels at numerous schools within the Chicago, IL, area, in Dallas, TX, and in the Ashdown, AR school districts.
Denise enjoyed caring for her family and her loving husband the late Marvin Earl Nash. She was a member of the New Dora Baptist Church located in Tom, OK. Denise was a dedicated member for over 12 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her two sons, Bryce (Jocelyn) Meadors of Glenn Heights, Texas and Leon Meadors of Denton, Texas; father, Leon Dunham of Chicago, IL; sister, Deborah (Richard) McGee of Mesquite, Texas; step-children Ricky (Alesha) Williams of DeQueen, Arkansas and Authra Meshal (Titus) Hardiman of Conway, Arkansas; niece, Kimberly (Brian) Hull of Silver Spring, Maryland; special sister Sue (Leonard) Taylor of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren, and a host of close friends and extended families.
Funeral arrangements are set for 11 am Saturday October 31, 2015 at the New Dora Missionary Baptist Church with Rev Kevin Starks officiating.
Interment will follow at St Matthews Cemetery in Tom.
