Delores Richard

Ms. DeLores Richard was born March 10, 1956 in Idabel, Oklahoma to Mrs. Belle L. Smith-Richard and J.C. Richard, Jr. She was the second of three children. She left us on February 26, 2014 in Idabel, Oklahoma at the age of 57.


She attended St. Mark and later graduated from Idabel Gray High School. She was raised in the church environment, and was baptized at Spring Hill Baptist Church. As an adult, she moved from Idabel. In 1986, she retired from Ft. Sill Army Base and Golf Course in Lawton, Oklahoma. DeLores enjoyed traveling, fishing, cook-outs, and family outings.


She is preceded in death by: her parents, Belle L. Richard and J.C. Richard, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Rose Abelle Carter and Jordan Smith; paternal grandparents, Gene and Hattie Richard; brother, James Earl "Lil' James" Richard.


DeLores leaves to mourn: one sister, Ruth Richard of Idabel; one aunt Goldie Davis of Lawton, OK; three family members whose lives she has touched and had a hand in raising, Christine Whitaker, Shreaca Westbrook and Carlekus Warhop all of Idabel; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.


Ms. DeLores was always a very happy and joyful woman filled with love for all and will be truly missed by all

Funeral arrangements are set for 11 AM Monday March 03, 2014 at the Funeral Home with Rev A. W. Gulley officiating.

Interment will follow at Williamston Cemetery, Idabel.
