David Samuel Warren

David Samuel Warren was born on March 29, 1953, to Reverend Justice Sterling and Mary Lee Warren.  He departed this life on December 2, 2018, peacefully at home.

He graduated from Gray High School in Idabel in 1971.  Thereafter, he married Georgia Owens of DeKalb, Texas and out of this union, two daughters were born.

Upon the ending of his marriage, David relocated to Oakland, California where he continued his education at Alameda College while raising his two daughters. David worked at the Alameda Naval Exchange and the Oak Knoll Naval Exchange for over 15 years. After that, he worked at a series of odd jobs where he came in contact with many different people. Those contacts led him to employment at Foothill Square under the management of Jay- Phares where he worked for 10 years. In early 2006, he returned home to Idabel to care for his mother and father.

As a member of the Idabel community, he was well-liked and was known as a Mr. Fixit. As a result, David accepted numerous odd jobs helping anyone who needed help.

He was preceded in death by his father, Justice and mother, Mary Lee Warren; and older sisters; Justine Warren, Hillard Christine Warren Beard, and Denise Warren.

He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters:  Amanda Lee and Joyce Ann Warren, both of Oklahoma City. Nephew: Michael Fields of Idabel Oklahoma. Brothers: Justice A Warren (Jo Ann) of Houston, Texas, Timothy Sterling (Leina) Warren of Stockton, California, and John Warren. Sisters: Linda Warren Ross of Los Angeles, California, Janet Warren-Troupe of Oakland, California, and Kathy Warren of Fontaine, California. Also,  numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and family.

His Celebration of Live Ceremony is set for 2 PM on Saturday, December 15 ^th at St. James CME Church in Idabel with Reverend Anthony Owens officiating. The Eulogist will be Reverend Timothy Warren.

A private Inurnment will take place at a later date.
