Charlene Williams Wright was born on October 26, 1941 to Josephine Ford and Charlie Williams in Foreman, Arkansas. She accepted Christ at an early age.
She attended and graduated from Riverside High School in Harris, Oklahoma. Charlene was always a humble, devoted, loving, and caring person. She was very outspoken and would not shy away from speaking her mind. She loved her family dearly, and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Ayana Thomas. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and traveling. Charlene's unique personality and dynamic smile were a joy to all who knew her. She retired as a teacher's assistant from Abilene Independent School District.
She was predeceased by her parents, Josephine Ford and Charlie Williams; sons, Edwin (Flute) Williams and Craig Wright; daughter, Sharon (Kaye) Wright, and spouses, Homer Alvin Wright and Willie Roy Thomas.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Son, Maurice Wright of Amarillo, Texas; and daughters, Chrystal Thomas Johnson of Idabel, Oklahoma; Shirley Nelson of Houston, Texas; and Diane Joiner of Round Rock, Texas. Sister, Bennie Marie Frazier of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Also, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, 5-7 PM at Nunley Funeral Home, Three NW Bois D'Arc Street in Idabel, Oklahoma.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Alford French Cemetery in Foreman, Arkansas.
