Cedric (Slims) Whitfield
On May 14, 2015 the Lord called Slim from labor to reward. Cedric Whitfield was born July 7, 1969 to Clara Jean Whitfield (Ragland) and Prince Elliott in Dallas, Texas. He lived in Dallas for a while before moving to Tom, Oklahoma.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he united with the New Dora Missionary Baptist Church under leadership of his cousin the late Rev. Winston R. Whitfield.
Cedric attended school in Dallas, Texas prior to his move to Tom, Oklahoma. While living in Tom, Cedric attended Tom Public School and Haworth Public School. In 1987, Cedric graduated from Haworth High School.
He worked as truck driver for several years and his last employment was with McCorkle Truck Line, Inc. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Mary Pennon (Donald) of Mesquite, TX
Five Nephews, Lamont Whitfield of Oklahoma City, OK
Anthony Whitfield, Jason Whitfield (Mary)
Murdock Whitfield (Jennifer) and
Cornelius Whitfield , (Amber) all of Idabel, OK.
and a host of nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services are set for 12:00 noon Saturday May 23rd at New Dora Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Latson Officiating.
Interment will follow at St Luke Cemetery, Tom, OK
