Carolyn Evonn Hill-Richards

Carolyn Evonn Hill-Richards was born October 24, 1958 to Rosie Lee Tucker-Hill and Hudson Hill, Sr. in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Carolyn departed this life on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel.

She was the third of six children. At an early age, she united with St. James CME Church in Idabel and remained a member. Carolyn attended elementary school at Booker T. Washington and was a member of the Idabel Gray High School class of 1976. In high school, she participated in the pep squad and Future Homemakers of America. Carolyn worked as a CNA and Home Health Aide until she became disabled.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hudson Hill, Sr.; grandmother, Janie Moon; and brother, Lee Von Tucker.

Carolyn is lovingly remembered by her mother, Rose Hill of the home; daughter, Carla Hill of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Vernon Hill of Idabel; daughter, Crystal Hill-Lawson of Chola Vista, California; son, Michael Richards of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Gayla Richards of Idabel, OK; four brothers, Hudson Hill, Jr. of Ft. Worth, Texas; Rickey Hill, Sr. of Burns Flat, OK; Anthony Hill of Guthrie, OK and Cordell Lewis of Oklahoma City, OK.

She is also remembered by her 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The home going service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at St. James CME Church, Idabel. Interment will follow at Williamston Cemetery, Idabel.
