Bobby Ray Scott was born in Idabel January 1, 1940 to the late Amos and Mary Bell Scott. Ray passed away at his home Saturday January 7th, 2012.

Ray attended Slater School and Booker T. Washington School in Idabel earning his high school diploma.

He accepted Christ at an early age.

Ray joined the United States Army and served for four years, including combat services during the Vietnam War.

He had five sisters and four brothers that preceded him in death, Thelma, Elma, Bennie, Loretta, Geneva, James Otis, Edward Lee, Luther, and David.

Ray leaves to cherish his memories; two sisters, Charlene Daniels & husband Marvin, Linda Wright-Guess & husband Frank both of Idabel; one brother, Alvin Scott of Idabel; three aunts, Dorothy Hill of Idabel, Gracie Wilburn of Clarksville, Texas, and Betty Sue Brooks of Hobbs, New Mexico; two uncles, John Smith and Howard Smith of Clarksville, Texas; a special niece, Terrie Humphrey along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services are set for 1 PM Saturday January 14, 2012 at Macedonia Baptist Church, Richland with Pastor John H, Scott officiating.

Interment will follow at Williamston Cemetery, Idabel.
