Billy Joe King was born April 8, 1958 to Willie and Opal King in Idabel, Oklahoma. He departed this life, at the age of 55, on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 surrounded by his family.
Early in his life, Billy attended Idabel Public Schools. He later attended Job Corp in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He worked for the Idabel Coca-Cola Bottling Company for 37 years.
Billy dedicated his life to Christ in 2006 and was a member of Community Faith Fellowship Baptist Church in Idabel, Oklahoma.
Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory include: his parents, Willie and Opal; wife, Doris King of the home; children, Sharoya Goode Johnson of Paris, Texas, Corey King and wife April of Oklahoma City, Brandon Lewis, Jaleesa Lewis, and Leslie Scales all of Idabel; brothers, Willie King Jr. and wife Vanessa, Terry King and wife Angie Faye, Larry King and wife Kathy, Charles Kings and wife Senta, all of Idabel; sisters, Dorothy Akins and husband Charles, Shelia Kings and husband Wayne Walker, and Karen King, all of Idabel; very special friends, Stanley Anderson and wife Vanessa; sixteen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral Services are set for 2:00 PM Saturday at Community Faith Baptist Church with Brother Kevin Haywood officiating.
A Private Inurnment will take place at a later date.
