Betty Jean Dixon passed away from this life on April 15, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Betty was born September 5, 1969, in Idabel, OK.
She was the 2nd oldest daughter of Willie and Tissie Pondexter. She joined the Church of Christ at a young age. Betty was a caring, loving queen who always put everyone first and never knew the word No. She enjoyed talking on the phone with her loved ones and spending time with her children and grandchildren, she loved going shopping for her husband.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Willie, and Tissie Pondexter, one daughter, Latisha Dixon and mother-in-law, Darnell Dixon, 5 brothers, and 4 aunts.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 40 years, Michael Dixon; two sons, Shamichael Pondexter and Kyisha Pondexter, Mack Dixon, and Jacqueline McElroy, and bonus son, Dontares Warhop (Moody), father-in-law, McAuthor Dixon. Darlene Pondexter, Kimberly Pondexter, Amanda Pondexter (John Wells), Heather and Marvin Beard, Cora and Reggie Thomas, Joyce and Manuel Goodman, Brenda Dixon, Shelia Dixon, Leatrece Dixon. brothers, Damon Pondexter and Charell, Randy and Charlotte Pondexter, Schamichael Nunley, one uncle, Leroy Daniels, brother-in-law, Paul & Shawana Dixon, Arthur Dixon, Gary Dixon, Mack Dixon (Sandy), Aunties, Alma Smith, Martha Van, Anna Daniels, Leattee Herrod, 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, a special bonus daughter of 20 + years, Alicia Ricks.
The Funeral service for Betty is set for noon on, Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the By-Pass Church of Christ with Dr. A. W. Gulley officiating.
Interment will follow at the Beaver Dam Cemetery, Dekalb Texas.
