Arvella Walker

April 15, 1933 — December 2, 2015

Arvella Walker was born April 15, 1933 in Harris Ok., to Johnny and Bennie Marshall Whitfield. She passed away December 2, 2015 at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana Texas.

Arvella grew up in Harris and completed Elementary school at Riverside. Then she attended school one year at Slater Rosenwald in McCurtain County. Arvella spent some time in West Texas, but lived in Idabel the majority of her Life. Arvella worked as a Nurse's Aide at the McCurtain County Memorial Hospital retiring after Thirty five years of service.

She dedicated her life, and was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in May of 2004. Arvella was a faithful member until her death. She loved to read and study the Bible.

Arvella was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, two brothers Odell woods and Bro. James Fleeks.

Arvella leaves to cherish her memory one son Johnny of the home; one brother Henry Duckett (Elouise) of Idabel; one sister Mary Cotton of San Diego, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousin and friends.

Funeral arrangements are set for 2:00 pm Wednesday December 9th, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses at 210 Lyndon Rd, Idabel with Brother Steve Chapman officiating.

Interment will follow at Williamston
