Arneatha Lewis

Arneatha Williams Lewis was born July 17, 1940, in Tom OK, to Claude and Jannie Williams. She was the second born of six children to this union. She was affectionately called Madea by her family and Niecey by everyone else who knew her.

Madea departed this life Friday, January 28, 2022, at the McCurtain Memorial Hospital.

She enjoyed fishing, watching and attending basketball games, and watching old Western shows.  Many days she could be found on a fishpond/creek with her fishing partner, Cousin Bea.

She worked for the Red Cross and served the election board until her health failed her.

She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Claude and Jannie Williams, Husband Moses Lewis, and Brother Willie C. Williams.

Madea leaves to cherish her memory one son: Edward Williams and his wife Hazel of Port Arthur Texas, one daughter Gloria Lewis, Oklahoma City, OK., two sisters: Sandra G. Williams, Tom, Ok., Merlene Mack, Tom, Ok., two brothers: Larry (Martha Alice) Williams, Idabel, Ok., and Worth (Ruthie) Williams Oklahoma City, Ok., 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
