Anna Clayton, 67, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Christus St. Michael's Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. She was born July 16, 1945 in the Spencer Chapel Community to Lorenzo and Jimmie Williams.
She attended Booker T. Washington schools where she graduated in 1962. She then attended Langston University where she graduated Cum Laude in 1966 with a degree is Music Education. She later attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University where she obtained her Master's Degree in Reading.
Anna was affiliated with the Southeastern District Minister's Wives Fellowship, Idabel Public Schools, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Entre Nous Club, and was an AVON Representative for many years.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Lorenzo and Jimmie Williams; her aunt, Annie Dell "TT" Brown; and grandson Tre'Bian Clayton.
Anna is survived by: her children, Daryle, Rashena, and Reynelda; five grandchildren Corey, Dayelan, Corbin, A'Niyah, and Prince O'Neal; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services to celebrate her life will be at 11 am Saturday, June 22, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Westside (Pastor Russell Latson) in Idabel, Oklahoma with Moderator Burnis Burrell, officiating.
Interment will follow at Williamston Cemetery
Family visitation will be held Friday, June 21 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
