Alvis Arthur Hill was born to Pelly and Clara Shoals Hill on September 17, 1948, in Idabel. OK.
Alvis was preceded in death by both of his parents and three brothers, Burdle Hill. Charles Jones, and Ples Jones.
Alvis graduated from Booker T. Washington High school in 1965. After graduating high school, Alvis traveled and worked throughout New Mexico and Arizona as a cement and Masonry worker.
Alvis later joined the US Army and served one tour in Vietnam as a Medic. He retired from the U. S. Army after 20 years of service.
Alvis returned to Idabel, worked and retired from the U. S. Forest Service in 2002. Alvis loved reading Cowboy books and driving around town early in the morning checking on neighbors.
Alvis leaves to cherish his memories, two brothers, Irvin C. Jones (Evorn), and Trumer Hill, both of Idabel, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A Graveside Service is set for 11 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Williamston Cemetery with Pastor Jessie Hooper officiating.
Interment will follow at Williamston Cemetery.
