Alma Lee Alberty was born May 14, 1949, in Idabel, Oklahoma. She was the sixth child born to Richard and Christmas (Alma) Alberty. Alma was a very industrious person. She accepted all challenges placed before her, meeting life head-on. She was a 1967 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. After graduation, she became an intricate part of the workforce. She worked several years at Red River Army Depot. She then went to the Idabel Vo-Tech Center and took masonry. After 15-plus years, due to an on-the-job injury, her last place of employment was at the Weyerhaeuser Paper Mill located in Valliant Oklahoma. If asked, everyone would say "She is the quiet one!" If you were to see her when her favorite song, Green Onions, began to play, you would see how active and fun-loving she really was.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Richard and Christmas Alberty; 4 brothers, Marlin, Richard, Orrie, and Alvie Alberty; and a sister, Wyoming McDonald.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Alandius (Deano) Townsend; daughters (granddaughters) Alandy Townsend, and Mi'Naja Bagsby of the home; 3 brothers, James(Stacey) of Hugo, OK, Larry (Cassandra) of Grant, OK, and Isiaah (Nicole) of Paris, TX.;
