Alicia Ann (Williams) Whitaker

October 12, 1996 — April 2, 2017

On April 2, 2017, the good LORD called home his sweet child, Alicia Ann Williams-Whitaker at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born to Phillip D. and Felecia (Williams) Whitaker on October 12, 1996 in Idabel, Oklahoma.

Alicia attended elementary school in Idabel, Oklahoma. In 2010, she and her family relocated to Bridge Creek, Oklahoma and she attended school there. She was active in athletics; participating in softball, track, and basketball. She graduated in May, 2015. Alicia was a hard-working, strong-willed, independent woman. She set goals and worked hard to attain them. Alicia attended Mid-America Technology Center where she majored in Criminal Justice. She will long be remembered for being a supportive and loving mother, daughter, sister, mate, friend by many, many people. She impacted the lives of countless people!

On December 15 of 2016, her fiancée, Bobby Heflin, proposed to her. On February 14, 2017 they were blessed with the birth of a baby girl named La 'Vayah Cellastine Heflin. Alicia loved the LORD and was saved at an early age. She was baptized at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Blanchard, Oklahoma. She attended First Baptist Church.

She was employed at Sitel Call Center in Norman, Oklahoma. Her job required her to demonstrate her social and professional skills while working with the public. She was always personable and friendly and had a knack for resolving issues in a calm and caring manner.

Preceding her in death was: Larry Whitaker (grandfather), Cellastine Williams (grandmother), Bradley Whitaker (uncle), James McAlester Whitaker (great uncle), and Mildred and Isaac Smith (great-great grandparents).

Remembering Alicia fondly are: Parents – Phillip D. and Felecia (Willams) Whitaker. Sisters – Leandra Williams, Alestine Williams, Markiny Whitaker, all of Norman, Oklahoma; and Twila Battle, Clarksville, Texas. Brothers – Shawn Robinson and Tony Robinson, both of Omaha, Nebraska; Phil Williams and Brad Whitaker, both of Norman, Oklahoma. Grandmother – Jo Ann Hooks, Idabel, Oklahoma. Great-grandmothers - Doris Jean Whitaker, Idabel, Oklahoma, Rosie Mae Houston, Dallas, Texas, and Meomi Williams, DeKalb, Texas.

Also surviving her are: Grandfather - Robert Williams, DeKalb, Texas and Step- Grandfather - Curtis Hooks, Idabel, Oklahoma.  Aunts – Trina Whitaker, Houston, Texas and Shalanda Whitaker, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Uncles – Robert Williams, Broken Bow, Oklahoma; David Smith, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Earnest Williams, Norman, Oklahoma.

She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
